First Tech Challenge (Advanced Robotics)
What is this group about?
First Tech Challenge (FTC) – Advanced Robotics is a group of students/ parent volunteers at OHMS that design, build and program a robot to compete in an alliance format with other teams in Utah. Our team is required to develop engineering strategies in building their robot in order to accomplish tasks for a annual challenge. Our team meets every Mon. & Wed. 3:20-5:20 pm in Mr. Monson’s classroom.
How does a student join?
Students sign up for the STEM program at the beginning of the year or at the semester, It is recommended that they have participated in the beginning robotics or computer programming first before applying for the Advanced FTC Robotics program.
What commitments or requirements does this group have?
Meeting Mon. & Wed. from 3:20-5:20 pm All day Sat. for Qualifier competitions and State Championships
What are the groups major activities?
